Architecture overview¶
The system consists of a web application, a public API, background workers and a PostgreSQL database.
Components¶
- Web application - server-rendered pages with progressive enhancement.
- API - versioned JSON API with token authentication.
- Workers - background jobs for imports, exports and notifications.
- Storage - object storage for attachments, database backups every night.
Environments¶
Development, staging (anonymized production data) and production. Infrastructure is described with Terraform.
- Update 2026-05-08: Updated the description with the final acceptance criteria.
- Update 2026-05-20: Started working on it, will post an update after the first run.
- Update 2026-06-21: Blocked by the pending review, pinging the reviewer.
