h1. Architecture overview
The system consists of a web application, a public API, background workers and a PostgreSQL database.
h2. Components
* *Web application* - server-rendered pages with progressive enhancement.
* *API* - versioned JSON API with token authentication.
* *Workers* - background jobs for imports, exports and notifications.
* *Storage* - object storage for attachments, database backups every night.
h2. Environments
Development, staging (anonymized production data) and production. Infrastructure is described with Terraform.
* Update 2026-06-05: Needs clarification from the client, asked in the shared channel.
* Update 2026-06-27: Blocked by the pending review, pinging the reviewer.
* Update 2026-08-09: Moved to the next sprint because of higher priority hotfixes.
